This is a very exciting day for guests across the country, especially in the province of Quebec! Members of our executive team gathered in Montreal, not just to eat poutine, but to announce that we are increasing our service to and from Montreal and Quebec City in a very significant way. We’ve proudly served “la belle province” since 2003 but we are making a significant investment that will bring much needed choice and competition to our guests in Quebec. Math can be hard but this equation is simple, choice + competition = lower fares for all. We are proud to be giving 8.2 million people in the province of Quebec the same access to fares that many experience across Canada.
WestJet is Canada’s low-fare leader – we always have been. When WestJet launches a new destination or a new route, we lower fares by as much as 50 per cent and stimulate traffic by as much as 70 per cent.
This is a year of tremendous anniversaries across our country; 375 candles for Montreal and 150 for Canada. Celebrations are happening across our nation and we’re inviting everyone to the party. Today’s announcement will allow more visitors to explore the cultural and business mecca that is Montreal. It will also allow Quebeckers to be more connected to each other, and the country, in a more affordable way. This is why we began operations more than 20 years ago and that’s why we are proud of today’s announcement.
Below are the details of our three new routes from Montreal to Quebec City, Halifax and Boston:
|Montreal – Quebec City||Four times daily||June 15, 2017|

In an effort to provide more convenient connections to the growing WestJet network both nationally and internationally, we have increased frequencies between our hub airports in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto to Montreal and Quebec City:

- Flights between Montreal and Calgary will increase by five flights per week to 19
- Flights between Quebec City and Toronto will add one more daily flight for a total of three
As always, we are committed to making air travel better in Canada by providing more choice, more competition and lower fares for travelers. Merci et bonne journee!
