Summer’s already in full swing and perhaps you’re making your way to Nashville, Boston, New York or any of our other great destinations in the United States. We’d like to give some friendly tips so you don’t miss your flight before you travel or transit through the red, white and blue.
No matter which U.S. airport you fly out of – big or small – we strongly encourage you to arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to your scheduled departure. Due to a higher than expected volume of guests travelling, and current U.S. Transportation Security Agency (TSA) staffing, excessive security wait times are expected.
Quite frankly, we recommend that you take this approach with travel to and through Canada as well. And hey, we understand waiting in lines is never fun. Thankfully, most airports offer a good variety of restaurants and things to do, and planes to watch take off or land. We hope that you have a fun summer, and as always, thanks for choosing WestJet.
