UPDATE – September 6, 16:45 MST

We continue to monitor the situation as Hurricane Dorian moves up the coast towards Atlantic Canada.

Our primary concern is always safety, and to ensure the safety of our crew and guests, we have cancelled more than 50 flights to and from Halifax, Moncton, St. John’s, Sydney, and Gander on September 7 and 8.

We advise all guests travelling to or from this area between September 7 and September 8 to check the status of their flights prior to leaving for the airport.

WestJet guests (air only) wishing to know if their itinerary has been changed can visit the “My trips” section on to view their updated itinerary.

Our operational teams are coming up with recovery plans to get our guests to their final destinations, including adding extra flight segments on September 8 and 9.

We thank our guests in advance for your patience and understanding. We will post additional updates as more information is available.
