Today, we launch our WestJet blog, the next installment in our commitment to engage with our fans and followers online. Since we began actively interacting on Facebook and Twitter in 2009 it has been our privilege to hear from, and chat with thousands of guests. Our chats have made us a better airline and allowed us to share the many wonderful stories about our WestJetters who truly are caring owners of our airline.
Our passion – our “why” if you follow Simon Sinek (and you should) – is to enrich the lives of everyone in WestJet’s world. We hope that by telling you a bit more about WestJet through our blog you will come to understand what truly makes us unique in the airline industry. At the same time, we realize how important it is for us to hear from you and we wanted to set up a place where the virtual conversation can be a bit more free-flowing. Ultimately, we want to enrich your lives through safe, caring and affordable air travel and the lives of our WestJetters through a well-managed airline that provides wonderful career opportunities where everyone’s role is important to our success.
On our blog, you will find more in-depth information about our people, where we fly, the airline industry and our guests, with a little bit of fun sprinkled in. Our proud WestJet owners will tell you a bit more about what goes on behind the scenes and share some of their more interesting stories. We also hope you will share some of your WestJet stories with us – good or bad.
