Meet the team

Here are the team members who contribute to the WestJet blog. We come from a variety of different backgrounds and will do our best to ensure we continue to create interesting and relevant content for you to check out. We’re always interested to hear your thoughts, so please let us know what you think by leaving a comment on one of our posts.

Robin Farr

Robin Farr is WestJet’s Communications Manager, responsible for helping keep WestJetters informed and engaged with what’s happening across the WestJet world. She was born in Calgary and raised on the west coast, but in 2011 the mountains called her home. She landed at WestJet and hasn’t looked back. When not working, Robin can be found on the floor with her two boys and seemingly endless bins of LEGO, hitting the pavement for a run with her dog or writing and doing advocacy work for postpartum depression and other perinatal mood disorders. Robin has a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia and a master’s in professional communications from Royal Roads University.

Robert Palmer

Robert Palmer (aka RP) is WestJet’s manager of public relations. When he’s not blogging, you’ll find him developing communications strategies, doing media interviews and speaking engagements, or working with various stakeholder groups. And when he’s not doing that, you’ll find him on a soccer field or in a hockey rink, or at home in the kitchen on a never-ending quest to make the perfect dinner! RP’s favourite WestJet destinations are Phoenix and Palm Springs, where he continues to refine his golf game.

Kristin MacCallum

Kristin is a communications advisor at WestJet where she spends her time creating, editing and sharing the great stories of our airline. She was also one of 18 “Cabin Pressure” singers who represented WestJet (and won!) on the TV show Canada Sings. The win carried with it, a $25,000 donation to our charitable partner, the Alberta Children’s Hospital, so it was especially sweet for Liz. At the end of 2012, she had the privilege of bringing home WestJet’s 100th Boeing 737 NG aircraft from the factory.
